DAY #39 - AUGUST 20TH, 2009
August is the beginning of the prime sailing season in Maine. So off we went.
The windjammers were a common sight on the bays.
Rocks of all shapes and sizes are everywhere.
As we sailed up Eggemoggin Reach we were followed by two windjammers.
The "Reach" is lined with houses of all sorts (including Torrey Castle). After a great sail we anchored for the night in the shelter of Torrey Islands.
As the sun set over the "Reach" Sharon maintained the invisible lines of communication with the "dirt dwellers" back home.
