HARBOR & HALL HARBOR TO OPECHEE ISLAND HARBOR

DAY #16 - TUESDAY, JULY 28, 2009

Feeling and looking fresh in the morning light.

Work starts early for a lobsterman.

Classic boats last a long time in this northern climate where they are hauled and cared for each winter.

With a favorable wind we headed northeast through Muscle Ridge Channel.

After crossing West Penobscott Bay we passed through the Fox Island Thorofare.

After crossing East Penobscott Bay we sailed through Deer Island Thorofare and past Stonington. While approaching Casco Passage we passed the last few boats hurrying home before sunset.

As the sun set we glided into Opechee Island Harbor. What a fabulous day of sailing.
