SEPTEMBER 3, 2007
From this point our adventures will take us "Down East" (which is considered the stretch of coast beyond Schoodic Point). Previously we had always been too timid in our Catalina 22 to venture beyond this imaginary gateway on the coast.
It is said that this eastern section of the Maine coast is much more remote. We spent the day at anchor reading guide books and researching this area which is totally new to us so that we would prepared once we were out there.
According to the cruising guides and personal reports we may not have cell phone or Internet access during the next few weeks.
