DAY # 36 - MASKELLS HARBOUR TO SAMPSONS & MACNABS ISLANDS

AUGUST 21ST, 2008

It turned out to be another clear beautiful day, however, the wind was blowing like hell (20 - 30 knots). Since we were on the lakes the water remained relatively calm despite the high winds.

I decided that it would be a good time to try out the new reef points that had been installed in our Yankee (head sail). We put two reefs in the Main and one in the Yankee and set out in the direction of St. Peters Canal. The reefing worked very well and we had good sailing in the high wind.

Cape George Harbour was full of boats (there weren't too many boats out on the lake today) so we continued on the Joe Sampsons & Macnabs Islands.

The great day fininshed with beautiful sunset.
